The two primary ingredients in ThinkitDrinkit's ULTRA Immunity BOOST, Wellmune® and Resistaid®, are proven to enhance immunity and improve resistance against common illnesses.
Wellmune is a natural yeast beta derived from the cell wall of a highly purified, proprietary form of baker’s yeast. This unique ingredient triggers immune responses that protect the body against disease.
The scientific understanding of how Wellmune works within the body is well documented in published, peer-reviewed research.
Once swallowed, the immune cells in the gastrointestinal tract begin absorbing Wellmune and transporting it to the organs within the body that serve immune functions. Once inside the organs, immune cells called macrophages break Wellmune into smaller units that are slowly released over several days.
Eventually, the fragments bind to neutrophils, which are the most common immune cells in the body. (They make up approximately half of them.)
Wellmune improves the key immune functions of neutrophils because it allows them to move more quickly through the body.
A key difference: Unlike other similar products, Wellmune improves immune function without over-stimulating it.
Researchers learned how Wellmune works by tracking flourescently dyed samples of it as immune cells moved it through the body and then measured related improvements in immune response.
Clinical research has consistently shown that Wellmune naturally enhances human immune responses and provides protection from illnesses that result from physical and lifestyle stress. Wellmune is one of the most thoroughly researched natural immunity enhancement products available today.
Double-blind, placebo-controlled studies with marathoners, firefighters and other people who lead stressful lives found that Wellmune lowers the number of upper respiratory tract infections and improves the sense of overall health.

ResistAid is produced by steamheating larch chips to extract the phenolic and arabinogalactan compounds that influence immune function within the body and evaporating the resulting extract.
This extraction method has been patented and it is the only one that does not use harsh chemicals. This makes the supplement more pure than other similar ones.
In addition, the manufacturer of Resistaid reports the following safety claims:
- Self-affirmed GRAS with US FDA notification.
- Approved by the US FDA as a direct food additive.
- Allergen free.
- No reported side effects.
- No adaptation period required.
Study of Resistaid
One recent study of Resistaid compared changes in immune response against a placebo after adults had been exposed to tetanus and influenza vaccines.
The study was a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial that included 75 healthy adults between 18 and 61 years old. The subjects were randomly assigned doses of either 1.5 grams or 4.5 grams per day of ResistAid or a placebo for 60 days.
At day 30, the subjects were given both tetanus and influenza vaccines. Serum antigenic response was measured at day 45 (15 days after vaccination) and day 60 (30 days after vaccination) of the study. These measurements were compared with baseline antibody levels.
The frequency and intensity of adverse responses were also watched throughout the study.
All three groups experienced a rise in tetanus IgG levels 15 and 30 days after the vaccine. There was a significant difference in the rise in IgG levels at day 60 in the group that received 1.5 grams per day of Resistaid compared with those who received the placebo. In the group that received 4.5 grams per day of Resistaid, there was significant rise in tetanus IgG at days 45 and 60 compared with baseline but these values were not significant when compared with the placebo.
Neither group demonstrated any significant elevations in IgM or IgG antibodies compared with the placebo group following the influenza vaccine.
There were no clinically or statistically significant or serious adverse events.
Final results: The study proved that ResistAid, taken at a dose of 1.5 grams per day, significantly increases the IgG antibody response to tetanus vaccine when compared with the placebo control group. Taken together with earlier studies, it proves that ResistAid improves the body's immune response to bacterial antigens.
